About Eli Adams & Outdoor Survival Gear

Just like most people, I got into preparedness specifically so that I could take care of my family in case we ever experienced an emergency situation.

I don’t prepare out of fear. I prepare out of love for my family and those around me. I’d recommend you do the same. You will inevitably prepare better long-term if you do it out of love for those around you.

If you prepare out of fear, you will only prepare while you are afraid… in tough times… and you will miss out on so many benefits that come with preparing during the good, less stressful times.

***An added bonus is that if you enjoy camping and the outdoors, you can also use all of your survival gear when you go camping or spend time in the outdoors. 😊

As an avid outdoorsman, I love going to the mountains and practicing my preparedness skills. Nothing makes me happier than taking my family to the great outdoors.

I know that it’s impossible to prepare for every situation, but a basic rule of thumb that I normally follow is before I buy any survival gear, I think of a scenario that could affect my family in the area in which we currently live, and work my way backward. If it makes sense to buy, then I plan a budget and eventually buy it.

Life Line - Where to start

How Should I Get Started Down My Preparedness Journey?

Starting down the preparedness path can be a bit intimidating. Most people don’t know where to start and the information out there can be very overwhelming.

Here is my advice:

Step 1: Check out my Beginners Guide to Preparedness before doing anything else. I have tried to lay it out as simply as I possibly can.

Step 2: After that, you’re welcome to use the search feature 🔍  at the top right of the website to search for whatever topic pleases you the most.

Step 3: You can also use the category dropdown on the right sidebar of most pages to select a category that interests you.

 Words of Wisdom

  • Never stop learning. There might be a day when all you have is what survival skills you have in your brain.
  • Always have a protocol. Practice it for every scenario you can think of. You’ll thank me later.
  • The whole reason I got into prepping was to keep my family safe. Please do the same and prepare for yourself and your family.
